Who?

Astrid is a performer, dance teacher and choreographer. She studied contemporary dance technique at Art Factory international and instant composition and performance at TIP in Freiburg. After touring with DNA dance company, she created her own works such as temporary tender, wilderness without a name and Rain, no sand. She currently performs in projects by Magali Laroy and Rodriguez Valcke.

She has a big heart for socio-cultural projects. Dancing together is making art, a layered process in which we can create something 'bigger' together. That desire to contribute artistically to society, led her to cocreate Broeidansatelier, now DEVLOER, an interdisciplinary movement platform. She shares her contemporary dance practice at Platform-K and WISPER.

Balancing artistic and production work, she has assisted at KAAP (DANSAND and December Dance), Dag van de Dans, Out of The Toolbox and Santarcangelo Festival. Her 2025 project (RE)claimingthevoid explores how public spaces are shaped by diverse bodies and identities.

In summary, her broad expertise comes in handy in various projects:  interdisciplinary performances, participatory projects or dancy dancy workshops.
